Santa and the Firestation

A new tradition that we look forward to is going to the local firestation to see Santa. We are invited by our friends The Garcia Family, and the kids not only get to sit on Santa's lap, but the firestation provides crafts, cookie decorating, doughnuts for breakfast and of course a close up visit to the firetrucks. Everyone had a great time. Claire must not have remembered Santa from last year...the look of absolute horror kinda gave her true feelings away.

Fall Days

Fall is always a special time. We are ready to welcome the beautiful weather that comes after long hot summer days. The red and golden leaves on the trees remind us just how majestic nature is. The kids absolutely delight in their excitement when the leaves start to fall. Hayden and Logan love to play in the leaves. We spent many days this Fall enjoying our new backyard and the thousands of leaves that fall. Tom laughs as he has lost count of the number of leaf bags he has filled, but we cant complain. The kids love it and we have a beautiful view.

He's My Brother

Hayden and Logan had their Fall school pictures taken recently. We are just thrilled with how this picture of the two of them turned out. It captures for us what we see in them every day. They are the best of friends and have a very special bond. Hayden is really assuming the "big brother" role and has started to look out for Logan and shows an interest in teaching him things. They both warm my heart everyday.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN 2008

Halloween 08 was a huge hit!! The kids loved dressing up this year and they were so excited for the big night. Hayden knew in September that he wanted to be an Astronaut for Halloween. He was thrilled that he did not see any other Astronauts walking around. He really wanted to stand out!! Logan really surprised us when he announced that he was going to be a Mailman for Halloween. As luck would have it, a kid size Mailman costume was available online, complete with a mail bag. Logan made his very own letters for the mail bag. Logan never looked more adorable!! And then there is sweet Claire. She enjoyed her very first dress up this Halloween. She was the perfect purple butterfly. And she walked around with a pumpkin full of candy just like an old pro! The Garcia family joined us for Halloween this year. Jake was a great skeleton, Abigail was a beautiful Princess Belle and Andrew was the best Monkey ever!! We could not have had a better night!!

Uncle Shuck's Pumpkin Patch

Every October we head North for Uncle Shuck's Pumpkin Patch. The boys love navigating their way thru the giant corn maze and really look forward to the tractor ride! Claire had a blast running thru all the pumpkins. Hayden and Logan could not believe that the sunflowers were taller than mommy and daddy. It is a tradition we look forward to every year.

Atlanta Botanical Gardens

Today we had a wonderful time visiting the Fall Festival of ScareCrows at the Botanical Gardens. The boys loved turning every corner to see a new Scarecrow. There were so many creative ones. I think we may make it a new Fall tradition. Tom's parents visiting from Delaware joined us and we all had a great day! Happy Fall!
